In the 4th step of your Automation creation, you can add Automation Rules to your automation to further automate your daily tasks or enhance your performance.

Next to the Rules, you find the option to 'Execute Rules Automatically':

So what does this functionality entail?
That also depends on whether you are automatically optimizing budgets each night or not in step 3 of your automation creation.

Please find all three scenarios below:

Scenario 1:

If 'Rules executed automatically' is off and 'automatically optimize budgets' is off, you will only see if the conditions of the rule are met when you select 'show insights' in front of your automation rule in the 'Automation Rules Tab' of your Automation Performance dashboard:

Scenario 2:
If 'Rules executed automatically' is on and 'automatically optimize budgets' is off: you will see the rules (if conditions are met) included in the budget recommendations here:

Scenario 3:
If 'Rules executed automatically' is on and 'automatically optimize budgets' is on: budgets will be updated in the ad managers (also taking the rules into consideration).
