Want to know more about the types of custom imports we support?
See these specific guides:
Step 1: Set up your import
In the first step, you'll define what type of data you want to import and how you'll send it to us.
1.1 Name your import
Give your import a clear, recognizable name and a short description.
1.2 Choose your data type
Select one of the following data schemas based on what you’re importing:
TV / Radio Data – For offline media campaigns like TV or radio.
Online Media Data – For online media sources not natively supported by Billy Grace.
Offsite conversions – Events that don't happen on your website with Billy Grace.
Order Data – By syncing order data you will get extra metrics, such as new- and returning customers.
Each type requires slightly different formatting, more details in the linked articles above.
1.3 Choose your import method
You can share your data with us using one of two options:
Option 1: SFTP
If you choose SFTP, you'll be provided with secure credentials to upload your file.
Your credentials will include:

Please make sure the combination is valid, we’ll notify you if something is incorrect.
Step 2: Upload your file
Once your method is selected, you can download our CSV template tailored to your selected data type. Fill out the file using the example structure. Then:
Upload your completed CSV file.
Enter the filename into the field provided: this ensures we can track and match your data correctly.
Step 3: Validate your data
After uploading, we’ll run a real-time validation check.
Errors will be shown directly in the relevant cells.
When all entires are valid, everything will be marked green.
Common issues may include:
Missing required columns
Incorrect formats (e.g., invalid date or currency values)
Unrecognized field entries
Fix the issues in your CSV and re-upload if necessary.
Step 4: Review & Submit
You’ll be presented with a summary page that shows:

Which method is used
A preview of the data
Double-check everything before hitting Create. Once submitted, you’ll see a confirmation screen.
You're done!
That’s it! Your custom import is now being processed and will be available for use within your Billy Grace dashboards the next day.
