Get insight into your pixel implementation

This feature is designed to assist you in identifying and resolving issues related to the pixel implementation. It allows you to check UTM parameters and Custom Events in the last 7 days.

You can find the Troubleshoot Pixel page by going to "Management > Pixel > Troubleshoot Pixel".

Received Events

This tab displays a summary of events captured by the Billy Pixel on your website. This provides valuable insights into the tracked data and allows you to verify quickly if essential events are firing correctly.

By reviewing received events, you can ensure the accuracy of your tracking setup and promptly address any discrepancies.

Please note that we only count the first event if we receive the same transaction_id multiple times.

Received UTM's

This tab gives you insight into the UTM parameters captured by the Billy Pixel on your website. Here you can check if campaign-specific UTM parameters are being tracked correctly. By reviewing the received UTMs, you can make sure you have accurate attribution.

How do I see if a UTM is not added correctly?

Look at the columns: bg_source and bg_source_id these should always be filled for hits we receive from paid advertising.

If you see utm_source and utm_medium values coming in from paid advertising, but these rows miss a bg_source or bg_source_id then the UTMs are not added correctly everywhere.

If the utm_campaign field shows the specific campaign, then that campaign should be checked in the ad manager.

Received Main Goal Events

This tab provides an overview of the main goal events tracked by the Billy Pixel on your website and allows you to quickly check if everything is being successfully recorded.
