Annotations provide valuable context to your data on specific dates

When analyzing performance trends, it’s not always clear what caused a spike or drop in your metrics. With Annotations, you can document key events for a specific date or date range so anyone reviewing the data later understands what happened during that period.

Get started

Navigate to Settings and click the Annotations page.

Create a new Annotation

Click "Create New Annotation’’ to open the creation form.

To add an annotation:

  1. Select the date in the date picker where the event took place

  2. Enter a name or description for the event

  3. Save the annotation

Note: We are working on making the event annotations visible in dashboards and graphs.

Why use annotations?

Annotations make performance analysis clearer.

Annotations help you to:

  • Log context around important moments such as product launches or promotions

  • Track marketing activities or external events that may impact results

  • Help your team understand the performance changes over time

Over time, this creates a timeline of important events that can be used to better understand your marketing performance.
